Smashed Avocado on Toast

When time is of the essence and you're unwilling to give up a healthy breakfast this is just the tasty morsel for you.

A slice of freshly toasted sourdough smothered in salty butter is mighty tempting. As you reach for the butter and notice the avocado and change your mind.

This simple breakfast gets a little twist with the chili flakes and lime.


  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and de-stoned

  • 1 pinch dried chilli flakes (optional)

  • ½ small garlic clove, finely grated

  • ½ lime, juice only

  • sea salt

  • extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 slice sourdough, toasted

  • few sprigs fresh coriander, chopped



Put all the ingredients into a jar, stir, put the lid on and chill in the fridge overnight.
